First campaign of May for the bird monitoring
Here are the links to some photos of yesterday from the first campaign of May for the bird monitoring with the well-known method called “point counts” in the @WWFitalia Oasis of #ValleAverto
Numerous species observed, including 24 migrating European Honey Buzzard, European bee-eaters, Western Marsh Harriers and a rare Common Grasshopper Warbler (a reed passerine).
On the rafts it is estimated 10-12 pairs of common tern on the block of rafts placed to the west and 7-8 on the one to the east in the Ancillotto lake.
